Dear Parents and Staff:

We are so excited to be starting another year of school. We hope that all of you have had a great summer and will be ready to jump in to make this year the best ever. We as the new PTA board would like to say "Welcome Back".

We would like to make all of you aware of some of the things that PTA is doing for the school and also some of our goals for this coming year. The PTA will continue to promote the following programs: "Caught Doing Good" program with rewards for the students, Cambell's Soup Labels, Safeway e-scripts, Student of the Quarter awards, Food City Receipts, Family Fun Nights, Walking School Bus, Garden Lakes Nights with the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Coyotes, Fry's Cool Ca$h and many other worthwhile programs.

We would also like to make you aware of some of the new incentive programs we are starting. We are hoping to help promote more involvement in the school. Box Tops 4 Education- we will now be giving part of that back to the teachers for use in the classrooms. The more your students bring in to their class the more that class gets back. We have a goal of at least $1000 for the entire school this year. PTA Membership Drive- If we reach our goal of at least 350 memberships this year, the entire student body will receive a reward. Spirit Day- Every Friday will be spirit day. Once a month the PTA will come around and count the students showing their school spirit. There will be prizes for the classes with the most school spirit.

As the year goes on there may be more programs that we will be able to put into place and we would love to have input from all of you. If you have any concerns, comments, questions or ideas please feel free to leave a note in our box or come to a PTA meeting. Thank you for your support and let us make this a great year.
