Our math is very activity based. That is why attendance is so important to your child's math progress. Several years ago a Garden Lakes first grade class was chosen to be on the
National Math Trail. This link may help you see some ways that you can "practice" math at home by talking and exploring events in your child's world. Make math a family social event! It also shows that math in our school is based on active participation. Attendance is important!
